Products which carry the EU BIO seal are produced with at least 95% of their raw materials from organic agricultural provenance. The product also meets the regulations of the official inspection program and comes directly from the grower or producer in sealed packaging. To guarantee full transparency, the product also bears the name of the grower, the processor or wholesaler and the name or control code of the inspection authority.

The Organic Metropolis Nuremberg was the first German city to join the “Città del BIO” network (in December 2006) and since then supports organic companies and food producers.
